| "A walk would be lovely," Selvai replied, leaning over to brush a kiss against Karene's temple. "As I am too lazy at the moment to think of anything else," he joked. "Seriously though. Perhaps later we can have a picnic, if you wish? We could find a tree for shade against the heat."
He paused as Disera approached the pair, carrying Lionel on one hip. She glanced at Selvai's arm draped across Karene's shoulders, then smiled. "I suppose you two are busy? I was going to ask if you wanted to play with Lionel for awhile, but it looks like you're enjoying each others company right now."
-----
"Well, then. It was a pleasure meeting you," Erik called out as Kylie marched away. "Remember me if you need anything!" The shifter watched the older woman walk away for a minute, then turned and headed off in the opposite direction. Maybe Xavier would want company for the day. | |

| Liam had been staring wide eyed at Maya for a bit, since the woman was much closer to his eye level, and anyways he felt like he had to keep an eye on her. "Angel?" He cocked his head to the side slightly, pushing his spectacles up his nose. "She's a cute little thing, isn't she?" Liam looked up at Dravius, then to the infant in his arms, then back to Maya. "Hold..." Liam extended his arms halfway, looking extremely reluctant.
Dravius, raising one eyebrow at the wisdom of putting his daughter in the hands of his father, especially since the man looked like he was liable to drop her, but hey, the building block of relationships is trust, right? He lowered Angel gently into Liam's arms, the older man's eyebrows shooting up as he set her on his hip, a slight smile making it's crooked way across his face.
Liam blinked once, then handed Angel back to her father, looking a little shaky. "Well. You have a beautiful daughter. I may need to sit down." With those words, Dravius' father did just that, arranging his legs under him. Dravius had stayed silent throughout this entire exchange, blinking slowly. It was nearly impossible thaat this man was his father. Someone must be playing a joke on him. Ha ha. Hee hee. Hoo hoo. If it was a joke, it was a shitty one.
--------------
Kylie, although not usually one for such rude things, wanted nothing more than to make Erik eat his own teeth, but she strode away as calmly as possible. She really did seem to be made of ice sometimes. Walking quickly, she moved past a lot of rather curious looking circus members without so much as a second word. She pulled up when out of the corner of her eye she spotted Liam sitting down.
What had happened? Did he feel faint? Oh my god, what happened. Kylie's icy composure shattered like a mirror with a rock thrown at it. She hurried over and bent down, nearly hyperventilating. "Liam, are you all right, dear?" Liam jumped and nodded vigourously. The older man murmered something to his wife. Whatever it was, it made Kylie straighten up abruptly and turn her once again cool expression to Maya.
"Hello, dear." She smiled, the grin a little too wide to be real. "It's very nice to meet you. I'm Kylie Wolfe." the tall woman held out her left hand, a wedding ring set with a large diamond calling attention to her ring finger. | |

| "Mhm." Was Karene's only response to Selvai as he agreed that taking a walk was indeed a splendid idea. She grinned a little at the magician's fleeting kiss, a motion shortly followed by a quiet snort. "Really. You?... Lazy?" She teased, rolling her eyes a little and leaning gently into his side. "Sounds like a date."
Catching Selvai's momentary pause, Karene followed his gaze to watch as Disera approached, bringing her little bundle of energy with her. As she spoke, the caramel haired woman sighed through her nose, her expression amused. Figures she'd wish to spend time with her fiancee only to have it disturbed at some point. Not that it was anything new. People always needed her for one thing or another. Not that it really bothered her, she enjoyed looking after Lionel. Besides, she had all day tomorrow to keep Selvai to herself.
"I don't think we'd mind taking him if you need a hand." She said, lifting a hand to prod Selvai gently on the cheek before resting her elbow on his shoulder. "Are you okay with it?... We can still have that picnic, you know. He can always come with us. Besides." She turned back to Disera. "We have all day tomorrow to enjoy each other's company." With that said, the female magician dropped her arm, kissed her fiancee lightly on the cheek, then padded over to Disera.
"Have you been a little troublemaker, hmm?" She smiled, ruffling Lionel's hair.

Maya had almost thought that Liam would downright refuse to go anywhere near Angel, let alone hold her, so it was a bit of a surprise that he actually seemed to want to. Despite his hesitancy as he held out his arms. Throwing a sidelong glance at Dravius, the butterfly exhaled quietly as he placed his daughter into his father's arms. The little girl herself certainly didn't seem to mind, she had been looking at Liam with nothing short of curiosity, and as her father lowered her into her grandfathers arms, she gurgled loudly.
She had been on the verge of reaching up to touch the older mans face when he seemingly decided it was time to hand her back, and the dark-haired baby "Da'd" and pouted as her dad took her back, returning to clinging firmly to him. As Dravius' father seated himself on the grass, Angel went back to smushing her face into her own fathers shirt.
The small smile that had made it's way across Liam's expression hadn't gone unnoticed by Maya, who had watched the whole thing like a hawk. Mostly because of how uncertain she was feeling, what with not knowing this man for much more than 10 minutes. Still. It was progess for him, she supposed.
Throwing a small, slight smile in Dravius' direction as Liam commented on Angel, the blonde slipped a hand between her boyfriends arm and waist, and rested it lightly on his forearm. "Are... You going to be all right?" She asked Liam with a slight tilt of worry in her voice, noting that the older man had quite suddenly seated himself in the grass. It was probably all a little much to take in, which was probably to be expected. All things considered. Goodness knows it was confusing enough for her at the moment.
Before Maya could offer to fetch him a glass of water, or some other beverage that might help calm him, a rather panicked looking woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It took about a second for the butterfly winged young woman to note the similarities to Dravius, and clearly the way she react towards Liam meant she obviously knew him. Her idle suspicions were almost confirmed when the woman turned to face her. This had to be Dravius' mother. Although, admittedly, she looked much more stern and slightly intimidating.
... Maybe slightly was an understatement.
As Kylie held out her hand, Maya noted both the wedding ring and the... Somewhat forced smile. It really did nothing to make her feel more comfortable in any way with this particular meeting. It felt a little like... She was being judged. Or critisized. Or both. Which she could understand, she supposed, seeing as her boyfriends parents had only just found him again. It was natural for them... To be protective of him.
"Uh. Hello." She responded, taking Kylie's hand despite her concern she might do something terribly wrong in this womans eyes. "It's... Nice to meet you, too, Mrs. Wolfe." She added, throwing a slightly subdued and concerned sidelong glance at Dravius, who, at this moment in time, should probably be doing some sort of explaining to his mother. Angel, meanwhile, had broke out into a muffled squeal. There was so many new people, so many. It was so exciting. | |

| Dravius had been trying to avoid any eye contact with either of his parents, choosing to bounce Angel up and down slightly, lifting her slightly to shift her to his other hip. "Uhm. Hi, Mrs. Wolfe." Dravius smiled slightly, not bothering to shake the hair out of his face that had fallen like a veil in front of his eyes. It didn't feel like it would be right for him to call the tall, intimidating woman "Mom".
Liam noticed everyone's strained expressions, and got to his feet. He felt quite bad for making the poor young lady feel uncomfortable, and he felt he should...pat her arm or somesuch. But...but... Liam thought he really should be doing something to relieve the tension, but he really wasn't good with this.
Kylie had been mildly surprised to see how nervous the young woman standing in front of her looked. She hoped she wasn't being too intimidating. Liam had told her before she tended to be a bit fierce. No matter her personal opinion of a person, it was always best to present a friendly face.
When the younger woman took Dravius' mother's hand, the older woman let her face relax, a smaller smile twitching up the corners of her mouth evenly.
"The pleasure is all mine, dear." Kylie released Maya's hand and blinked at the young child in Dravius' arms. "Goodness gracious. Is this, by any chance, my granddaughter?" Kylie's smile grew slightly larger, as she tilted her head slightly to regard the girl.
Dravius smiled slightly and nodded twice, to which Kylie cooed, "Well, she is quite a beautiful little lady. May I?" She held out her arms slightly, and Dravius murmered, "Yeah, she's probably ridiculously excited about all the new people." Kylie brushed some of the small girl's hair out of her face and grinned, enfolding Angel in her arms.
Liam had been standing off to the side, but at this point, he took a deep breath, took a few steps forward. "I'm sorry for my previous conduct, Miss." Liam patted Maya's shoulder nervously, then skittered backwards like a spooked horse, standing slightly behind his wife, looking pleased with himself, but simultaniously terrified.

| Well... It seemed to be going... Okay. At least, Maya hoped it was going okay. She wasn't in the least bit prepared for this meeting and naturally so she hadn't exactly got herself into the right state of mind for it. Still. The blonde let out a small, genuine smile as Kylie's face relaxed. It certainly helped ease her concerns a little, anyway. Perhaps she was... Worrying a little too much, it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
As the taller woman let go of Maya's hand, the young woman gave a quiet, relieved sort of sigh, before setting her gaze back on Kylie, who now seemed to be taking an interest in Angel. She threw a quick glance at Dravius, who had so far failed to actually introduce either of them, before sighing quietly. The butterfly couldn't help but smile again at the older woman's expression as she looked back towards Kylie; Clearly she was taking this news rather well. And it was cemented when Dravius' mother asked to hold the little girl.
"Ridiculously is probably an understatement." Maya murmered with an amused face.
Angel had spent the last few minutes staring around her father's arm, and as he suddenly handed her over she looked slightly wide-eyed and lost. It only took a glance over her own shoulder for her to realise her parents were still there, so it was perfectly okay to gurgle loudly again; Which she did, her gaze falling back on Liam. She stared at him for a minute around Kylie's arm, eyes flickering a little as her grandmother's fingers pushed away a few stray strands of black. It was only then she seemed to realise that that other new person was holding her now, and she wobbled a little as she leant back in Kylie's arms to look up at her. Woah.
It all seemed quiet for a minute, then Angel burst into giggles and tried to hide her face in Kylie's jacket. She snuck another fleeting peek at Liam, then went back to smushing her face, causing her giggle fit to come out all muffled. Needless to say it was here she noted the purple silk shirt that resided under the jacket, and, purple being the most insanely amazing colour ever, she suddenly had her entire attention focused on it.
"Buh." She stated, letting out a quiet squeal before executing what seemed to be intense concentration as she reached up to grasp to soft material. It was so pretty. The baby looked quickly over her shoulder at her father, gave him a giggle, then went back to playing with her grandmothers shirt.
Pff. She was so adorable. But coming from Maya, it was probably a biased opinion. Smiling slightly at Angel and how easily amused she was, Maya leant her head lightly against Dravius' upper arm, pulling away at Liam's somewhat sudden approach.
She wasn't quite sure what to do, now knowing that he was terrified of women. She was slightly worried that any sudden movement might send him off again. As he finished speaking, the blonde had little chance to respond before he dissappeared again. "It's... Fine. Really. I'm not offended." She said in as much of a gentle voice as she could manage, smiling at him. "It was... Nice, meeting you, Mr.Wolfe." | |

| "Are you sure? I don't want to ruin your plans or anything," Disera said, although she looked immensely relieved at the offer. She shifted the fidgeting Lionel on her hip as she continued talking. "I just need someone to keep him entertained for the day while I get a few things done around the van. Li's pretty hyper right now, so you might need to distract him with some toys. And, really, thank you both for this, I promise I'll make it up to you guys later."
"There's no need for that," Selvai told her, walking over to stand beside Karene. He smiled at Lionel as she ruffled the toddler's hair. "As Karene said, we do not mind helping you with him."
Disera handed the squirming Lionel over to the dark haired woman, shooting them both a grateful look. "I'll come pick up again in a few hours, but if you guys need to find me before that, I'll most likely be in my van." She dropped a kiss on Lionel's head, stepping away quickly before the fussy child could grab hold of her. "You be good for Grampa Selvai and Aunt Karene, kay Leo? Mommy has something she has to do right now." Heading back to her van, Disera looked back at the two magicians. "Thanks again!" she said, waving at the pair.
Selvai returned her wave, then looked over at Karene and Lionel. "Well, it appears as though are plans have changed slightly. Not that I am complaining about spending time with Lionel, of course."
-----
Although he was searching for Xavier, Erik was distracted by the sight of a small blonde woman leaving the circus grounds. He quickly crossed the distance between them, waiting until he was a few feet behind her before speaking. "Hello there!"
Helan jumped in surprise, whirling around to stare at the strange red headed man speaking to her. "Oh. Hello," she said, looking warily at him. The blatant leer on his face, as well as the fact that he had snuck up behind her put Helan on edge, and she held her jacket closer to her chest.
"My name is Erik Docherty. I couldn't help but notice that you were leaving the circus. Are you perhaps visiting a relative, or friend?" Erik asked, smiling as he stepped closer to her. "I'd be glad to escort you back to the town, if you wish," he offered.
"No thank, Mr. Docherty. I believe I can find my own way back," Helan replied nervously as she put distance in between herself and the shifter. Oh, god. What did this strange looking man want with her? She turned away and began walking toward the town, slightly faster than before.
"Well, I should accompany you anyway. A lovely lady such as yourself must attract all sorts of undesirable types, Miss. Also, I don't believe you told me your name." Erik said, following along as Helan practically ran away from him.
"No, I didn't," she answered bluntly. Finally nearing the town, Helan spotted a familiar figure standing just outside the town border and smiled in relief. "Cersis!" She called out, picking up her pace as she headed toward him. "I hadn't thought that you would want to come out here with me."
The scarred magician stepped forward carefully, limping slightly. A small smile briefly crossed his face before he spoke. "I didn't. However, considering how violent the members of this traveling sideshow can be, I felt that someone should follow you to make sure you aren't harmed while you're here." He glanced over the petite woman's shoulder at Erik following her and sneered. "I can see one of them is bothering you."
Helan flinched as the red head caught up with her, standing far too close for her liking. "Well, hello," he drawled, looking Cersis over. "Hmm. I know you can't do anything about the scars, but you may want to ditch the facial hair darling. Ratty goatees like that are a crime against good taste, you know," he continued, oblivious to the twitch that had begun in Cersis' jaw.
Smirking, the shifter draped his arm around Helan's shoulders, causing the blonde to cringe away. "But, I've gotten away from the main subject here. Where would you like to go, dear? I'm free for the rest of the day," he offered, oblivious to the half-terrified, half-disgusted look on Helan's face. "In fact, would you like to attend a wedding tomorro- OW! Ow, ow, ow."
Holding his bleeding nose, the shifter looked up from his position on the ground at the enraged magic user above him clenching his fist. "Listen, you horribly pathetic troll. You are a vile, disgusting creature, and under other circumstances I would take it upon myself to ensure that you never harass another woman, ever," Cersis spat at him. "Out of respect for my fiancee, I am going to refrane from doing any further harm to you. However, if you approach us again, I will bury you under the dirt like the worm you are. Good-bye." Linking his arm through Helan's, Cersis marched stiffly away in the direction of the town, the petite woman clinging to his side.
"Nice to meet you as well," Erik said weakly from where he was still laying on the ground. "We must have tea sometime, just the three of us." Pulling his hand away from his nose, he whimpered at the sight of blood covering his palm. "Ow."
-----
"What the hell happened to you?" Adriel asked as Erik returned to the circus grounds a few minutes later.
The shifter shot her a dark look, still holding his hand over his bleeding nose. "I was simply speaking to a local woman as she went back to town from the circus, and this man with a hideous beard attacked me!"
"Ah. So, you earned yourself a punch in the face," the dark haired woman said. "I should have guessed that myself. Must be having an off day."
"Excuse me, but I did not deserve this," Erik protested hotly, pointing to his swollen nose.
Addie simply raised an eyebrow at that. "Erik, I've known you for a long time. You've never NOT deserved a punch in the face. It's a fairly well known fact that you drive people to want to hurt you." She waved a hand dismissively. "But, whatever. You should probably clean up and put some ice on that."
"Oh, really? Is that what I should do? Thank you for the wise advice, doctor," he retorted sarcastically.
That earned him a glare from the dark haired woman. "How many times do you want to get hit today, Erik?"
He looked at her for a moment, then edged slowly toward the main circus grounds. "I'm just going to go find an ice pack," Erik said quietly.
"You do that," Adriel said as the shifter took off toward the vans. "Idiot."

| Ny lightly pressed her head against Raphael's hand as he scratched behind her ear, a cat-like habit she'd become accustomed to. "Well, you're the lucky ones. I want to forget my first ten years." She was silent as they walked, flicking her ears in greeting to Zephyre as they approached. When Raphael stroked her head again, she purred deep in her throat, currently quite content.
~~
Kanec lounged on top of his van as a white tiger, one of his large paws tapping lightly against the edge of the van, and his tail twitching occasionally. As Disera approached, he flicked an ear, raising his head to regard her, his sleepy eyes taking a moment to come into focus. He shifted into his human form, laying on his stomach, his chin rested on his crossed arms, and his wings draped over the side of the van. He flicked an ear, yawning. "Where's Lionel--Its not my turn to watch him, is it?" He glanced around worriedly, a small part of him thinking he may have fallen asleep while babysitting. | |

| Kylie had been laughing quietly at Angel's confusion about the people around her. The little girl look quite similar to herself, actually, except with much longer hair, and the addition of butterfly wings. The older woman also oted the odd focus the young girl had on the shirt under her suit jacket. The little girl seemed to be rather fond of it. Well, Kylie then on the spot decided to blow the small child's mind. She reached inside her jacket and unhooked a pin from the cloth of her shirt. The brooch was the head of a wolf from the front, the eyes made of emeralds, and the pin was very detailed, down to the tiny channels that ran through the skin on the nose of the canine.
Smiling, Kylie put the sharp pin safely in it's clasp, and showed the pin to Angel, an even smile still tugging at the corners of his lips. The brooch was well polished, the bright eyes winking in the light.
--------------
Dravius had been standing, mostly silent, when it occured to him neither of his parents were aware of the name of the mother of his child. He jumped slightly, then said, "Mr. Wolfe, Mrs. Wolfe, this is my girlfriend, Mayanna Vielle." He snaked his arm around Maya's waist, a crooked, and nervous, smile on his face. "Uhm. That's your granddaughter." Liam blinked once and said, "That is a lovely name, Mayanna. It is very n-nice to meet you."
The older man nodded once, then glanced at the watch around his wrist. "Gracious, it is almost seven o'clock in the evening. Where does one go to imbibe an evening meal?" He blinked, then Kylie sighed and said, "Can we have dinner soon?" She smirked slightly at her husband, holding her pin loosely in her hand. | |

| "It's really not a problem." Looking up from where she had been playing with Lionel's hair, Karene threw Disera a quick grin. "There was nothing set in stone for us today, anyway."
Straightening herself up, the magician took a slight step backkwards so that she stood more in line with Selvai, granting Disera and her son a little more space. She listened in silence as the mother spoke, glancing at her fiancee as he replied to her promise. Well. She'd have said the same thing. It really didn't matter that much... Afterall, it wasn't like they'd be going out of their way to look after Lionel for a while. Hell. It'd give them something to do for the time being. Although. admittedly, Karene had been looking forward to an early night, all things considered. And the sky was definately showing signs of morphing quickly into evening.
Blowing a quiet breath from her lips, she held out her arms as Disera's son was handed over to her, immediately commencing in a sort of hand wrestle with the wriggling little boy. She had, however, managed to hold him still enough to allow his mother to peck him on the head.
"All right." Karene responded, smiling at the blue skinned Shifter as she mentioned where she could be found should they need to take Lionel back to her. "See you later, Disera. Keep busy." She laughed, shifting Lionel up a little in her arms, then turning her attention to the boy with a smile. "So, mister. What would you like to do, huh?"
Pulling her attention back to Selvai when he spoke, the female shrugged, bouncing Lionel slightly. "It would have... Had we actually made any plans." She chuckled, throwing a strange, teasing sort of expression at her fiancee. "We had only got as far as brainstorming. Still. It'll be fun to spend a little time with this one, won't it, "grampa"?"
Grinning to herself, she shifted Lionel again. "Right then. I think it might be a good idea to stay in our van. It'll probably be getting dark soon, and that's where most of the toys are anyway." She paused, then shrugged before stepping off towards the van she shared with Selvai. "I might have to leave early though, you know. I'm staying with Shahn tonight. You dont mind keeping an eye on Lionel until Disera comes back, right?"
~~~
Yep. Yep. Angel could quite happily do this all day. Playing with this purple silky stuff her grandma was wearing. It was pretty and soft, and the little girl could only imagine the endless joy a whole pile of this stuff would provide. Giggling, she watched with clear interest as Kylie reached for her brooch, wiggling around in excitement. As her grandma finally pulled out the shiny object, Angel simply stared at it.
Ooooh.
Pretty. it was so... Glittery. Reaching out a little hand, the dark-haired baby took the brooch and played with it, eventually resorting to holding it very, very close to her face. She wondered what such a thing would taste like, and even went so far as to put her lips around it and oh god. It tasted TERRIBLE. It was the same sort of thing Mommy wore around her wrist. All... Ew-y and hard and cold and ew-y. She didn't like it. At all. It still looked pretty, though.
Pulling a face, her tongue stuck out, Angel almost dropped the brooch, then seemingly decided it was just too nice to let go, even if it didn'tt taste very good. The little girl then spent the next couple of minutes playing with it again, smushing it into her face and rolling it around.
Maya had been rather enjoying watching Angel and Kylie, the little girl seeming to have taken to Dravius' mother almost instantly. It seemed, the blonde carefully guessed, that Kylie was also getting on rather well in her new-found-granddaughters company. Smiling, she jumped a little when Dravius did, turning to look at him slightly concerned. He was probably just on edge, though. As he started speaking, she rolled her eyes slightly, smiling again as he placed an arm around her. Huh. Better late than never, she supposed.
Although. There was probably little point in it now. No doubt Dravius' parents had figured that already. Looking back at Liam, her smile still in place, she replied. "Thank you, Mister Wolfe."
Waving a hand, she tilted her head slightly as he spoke again, looking at Kylie as she clarified. The blonde threw a quick glance at Dravius, then spoke. "There's a van that provides food for the Circus. It's very much like a cafe on wheels." She said, a calm smile on her face. "It's just back that way. You can't miss it." She paused, looking again at Dravius before continuing. "I can... Take you there, if you'd like?... It's about time Angel got fed anyway... I'm surprised she hasn't noticed she's gone without dinner so far."
Looking slightly amused, Maya looked between Liam and Kylie. She was perfectly aware that she was giving her boyfriends parents the perfect chance to interrogate her if they wished. But she figured she wouldn't get away from that. It was natural for parents to want to know about their children's partners, probably more so for those who had been seperated from their youngest son for most of his life. Besides, it was probably going to happen sooner or later.
"Are you going to come, Dravius?" She asked, taking a small step away and looking up at him. It would probably be best to have him around if his parents did start asking questions. Just in case. | |
| Disera snorted quietly at Kanec's question, shaking her head. "Don't worry, you're fine. He was all worked up, so I asked Karene and Selvai to watch him for a few hours." Flapping her wings, Disera grabbed the edge of the van roof, hauling herself up and pushing Kanec's wing out of the way before taking a seat beside the sprawled out man. She nudged him gently with one elbow before crossing her legs and propping her interlaced hands on her knee.
"But, since your awake now, and we don't have Lionel, we can do something together, just the two of us," she said, smiling as she leaned closer to him. "You know, like cleaning up the van a bit," Disera continued, smirking as she tugged at Kanec's sleeve to get him to sit up. "Between the two of us it shouldn't take that long. Come on, I'll pick up Leo's toys and you can sweep the floor." | |
| Kanec glanced over at Disera as she sat down, furling his wing to make room for her. At her suggestion of actually cleaning, he groaned, allowing his forehead to fall lightly to the surface of the van. "Aw, but you know how I hate cleaning. Can't I just...lay here? I'm tired. I had to walk all over town for my errands, trying to find everything, and it doesn't help when no one will give you directions." He finally gave in to her tugging, sitting up and furling his other wing. His ears were relaxed back, and he rubbed an eye, casting a glare at her. "Fine. But afterward, think we could go for a walk, perhaps?" | |
| "Aww, my poor lazy shifter," Disera cooed in mock sympathy, before shoving gently at Kanec's shoulder. "Come on," she said in a more normal tone of voice. "It won't take that long, and the sooner we start, the sooner we get it all done." Uncrossing her legs, Disera hopped down from the top of the van and landing lightly on her feet. Stretching out her wings, she looked back up at Kanec with a smirk. "And yes, once we're done we'll go for that walk. Might as well take advantage of not having Lionel for a few hours, right?" Disera remarked as she stepped inside the van.
-----
"From the way he is squirming, I would guess that he wants to go back to his mother," Selvai said. Smiling, he ruffled the child's hair as he spoke again. "We will have plenty of time to ourselves after tomorrow, anyway. And you know I always enjoy spending time with Lionel."
The magician rolled his eyes good-naturedly at Karene's "grampa" remark, raising one eyebrow as he looked over at her. "You realize, if I am grampa, that will make you grandma, at least after the wedding tomorrow, right?" he teased. "Perhaps we should think about asking Disera to think up new nicknames soon, before Lionel becomes too accustomed to that one."
Nodding in agreement, Selvai fell into step beside Karene as she headed in the direction of their van. "Right. I should be able to keep him entertained until Disera returns. Although, hopefully he will wear himself out and fall asleep before you leave tonight." He paused for a moment, stretching. "The day has certainly gone by rather quickly, hasn't it? Although it probably only seems that way, with tomorrow being so important." | |
| "Oh, so everything's in vans here? I suppose that makes it all the more easier to pack everything up, yes?" Kylie smiled evenly, and looked towards the distance behind her, trying to pick out a van that served food. There really weren't any indications that any van really looked like a cafe. She really was getting quite hungry, as she'd skipped lunch to come after Liam in the taxi cab. She usually had a light lunch, then a midafternoon snack, but she'd missed both, and the older woman's stomach was on the verge of letting out a violent growl.
"A guide would be really nice, actually." Kylie nodded, and after she shot a glance at her husband, Liam gave a small, uneven smile, and moved his head up and down a few times. "I had this odd, perverted man named Erik offer to lead me around." Kylie looked a little quizical, then patted Angel on the head.
Dravius had been standing off to the side, keeping his mouth firmly shut. Blinking once or twice, he looked around for an excuse to run away, quickly. It wasn't that he didn't like his parents, it's just that....he wasn't sure if he liked them. OH! Dravius strongly felt that Selvai needed a bachelor night, immediately.
"Sorry, I just remembered that I told Selvai I'd take him for a stag night. Okay bye!" Dravius smiled tersley, gave Maya a quick hug and a peck on the cheek, and scooted away, a "Have fuuuuun!" floating behind him.
--------------------------
The circus' co-master broke into a flat-out run once he was out of sight of his parents and Maya, slowing to a trot as he neared the small clutch of people, Selvai included. "Hey, guys. Hey. Uh. Well. I was over there, and I had a super good idea." Dravius smiled crookedly and said, "You, me, Erik, and anybody else that wants to come should go out, and have a bachelor's party. It'll be great! We can hang around in town and just generally have a grand old time!"
Dravius smiled hopefully at his proposition, hands in his pockets. A stag night actually sounded quite fun, and the idea of actually getting drunk sounded al the very least interesting. The Co-Master never really drank that much, so hopefully getting ridiculously inebrieated would be a new experience. "And hey, Karene, maybe you and all the girls could go out and have a bachelorette party!" | |
| ((PFFFF Dravvy.
Selvai,Karene and Lionel are heading for their van. xD Disera is at her van, trying to get Kanec to clean. IT'S OKAY. I've edited it for you.))
~~~
Turning away from Dravius, Maya looked at Kylie as she asked her question, then nodded. "Yes, exactly." She gave a somewhat tentative smile as Dravius' mother mentioned needing a guide, then looked back towards Dravius just as he decided he was going to bail. She looked highly confused by his "bachelor night" statement, not having any time to respond as he gave her a quick kiss, then pretty much bolted for the hills. "Uhm..."
Figured she'd get left on her own. She was certainly sure enough to think that her boyfriend should be the one here getting to know his parents. Sighing quietly, she turned back to Liam and Kylie; Throwing a fleeting glance in the direction Dravius had fled.
"Erik... Oh. I hope he didn't cause you too much... Uhm. Bother." Maya said, looking somewhat worried. It was a wonder Kylie wasn't acting irritable or tetchy after meeting him, of all people. She certainly didn't seem like the sort of person to take anything off anyone. "He's... Just a little too friendly, sometimes. Even with people he doesn't really know. You do get used to it, eventually. Although admittedly I'm surprised he hasn't been punched yet." She said, smiling again slightly. She then decided it was probably best not to wait. It wasn't like Dravius was coming to her rescue this time around.
"... Right. Well. The food van... It's just this way." She stated, looking off in the general direction before padding towards it. She made sure to still keep some distance between herself and Liam, just in case he was still unsure about her, and threw another glance back at Kylie, more to check on Angel than anything.
It only took a couple of minutes for the small group to reach the van, and Maya smiled over her shoulder before heading in. She paused by the counter, where any number of foodstuffs were available. Fruit, meat, and even sandwiches were present. She spent a second looking over the selection, then back to Dravius parents. "There's... A lot of choice here. You can just help yourselves to whatever you want." Glancing at Angel, Maya paused again, then smiled slightly at Kylie. "You can... Feed her if you want to. She'll eat pretty much anything, as long as it's not too hard for her to chew on. She tends to like fruit a lot though." Well. They may as well know as much about their grandchild as possible, right?... Maya sat herself at a nearby table, and sighed quietly through her nose.
Angel, meanwhile, seemed more than happy where she was, still gripping her grandma's brooch tightly in her little fingers. Only now her attention had gone back onto the soft purple silky thing grandma was wearing. It was so pretty. And she really just wanted to smush her face into it's prettiness. So saying, she was actually close enough to do so, and therefor did. A muffled giggle making it's way from her now concealed face.
~~~
"I'm sure he'll be fine, just as soon as we get him something to keep him occupied." Karene said, slightly distracted as she shifted Lionel a little and throwing a smile over at Selvai. "Besides. It is rather late for him. He might be asleep before long. Right, little mister?" She cooed, playing with the little boy's hair, unintentionally agreeing with Selvai's statement.
Dropping her hand, the caramel-haired woman nodded. "Of course you do, and I know. We might even get bored of each other by tomorrow night. And pff. I'm not nearly old enough to be referred to as "grandma". I don't quite fancy being called so before my time." Laughing quietly, she elbowed her fiancee with her free elbow. "I think "Uncle" and "Aunt" should be fine. Perhaps you might want to put that suggestion forward, hm?"
Grinning, Karene turned her attention back to Lionel, noting in passing the slow transition into evening with the slowly diminishing daylight. "Maybe. Although, usually in my experience, when you look forward to things, they take forever to get here. Not that I'm complaining." She said, her face amused. It took another couple of minutes for the pair to reach their van, just as Dravius showed up, looking as though he'd fled from some natural disaster.
"Why, good evening, Mister Co-Master sir." Karene greeted in a rather flamboyant tone of voice, grinning widely at the dark haired male. She only just managed to ask why he'd made his way over, when he came out with a rather peculiar suggestion. The woman had to raise an eyebrow, thinking that maybe this was a... Rather rushed up idea. At least that was how it sounded. He must have thought the whole thing up in five minutes.
Pausing her thoughts, Karene glanced at Lionel, then at Selvai. It would be a little unfair to keep her fiancee here if he wanted to go, really. Despite having plans to spend the evening with him before she had to leave. Still. She'd see him tomorrow. Exhaling quietly through her nose, she smiled at the magician.
"I don't see a problem with it if you want to go. No doubt if Dravius is planning on drinking himself silly-"
"Dravius?... Drinking? Really?" Xavier had simply been passing, really. It was only his brothers name that had really caught his attention... Well. That and "drinking". It wasn't often he heard the two together in a single sentence. Coming to a stop beside the to-be newly weds, hands in his pockets, he looked at his younger family member amusedly. "Goodness. Has meeting Mom and Dad really got you that terrified?" He laughed. "In all seriousness though, I quite like this idea. Hope you don't mind my tagging along."
Karene rolled her eyes. "Oh here we go. Looks like you have little choice in the matter." She laughed, directing her words at Selvai. "No doubt Xavier here is the voice of experience."
"Oho. I most certainly am. So much so that I will make it my responsibility to look after these two probable lightweights." Patting Dravius on the head, the tall male threw a quick grin at Karene, then focused his gaze back onto his brother. "But... Really. How did it go with the parents?" He asked, sliding his hands back into his pockets.
Karene, meanwhile, smiled again at Selvai. "Go enjoy yourself." She said, giving Lionel a quick hug. "Not too much, mind. I need you standing tomorrow" Chuckling, she gave her fiancee a quick kiss on the cheek, then switched direction and headed for Shahn's van, waving over her shoulder at the three men. "Have a good night, you guys."
~~~
After finally settling Jemis down with the choice of visitor vans, Raphael gave Nylat one last ear scratch before heading back off towards his van, being sure to send a member to let the other visitors know that their accomodation was ready.
Glancing skyward as he walked, he idly noted the beauty of a steadily changing sky, before opening the door to his van and hopping inside. Most everything for tomorrow had been more or less sorted, and now he was free to merely relax. Mostly. The Ring-Master decided to keep himself up until all expected visitors had arrived, mainly Maya's mother, who still hadn't quite made it yet. For now though, he could sit here and look forward to tomorrow without worrying over preparation.
Seating himself next to his desk, he leant back in the chair, glancing at the wall to his left, the one absoloutely covered in Circus posters and other bits and bobs.It really was rather busy up there, maybe someday he should sort it. If he ever found the time, that was. Still. It didn't bother him that much to really make it a priority. Shaking his head, he stood himself up and padded back towards the door, lighting a lantern that resided just outside the doorframe, before heading back inside. Tomorrow certainly would be interesting, that much was certain. | |

| Opening the van door for his fiancee, Selvai smiled at Karene's observation. "Nor am I old enough to be a "grampa"," he agreed. "I will definitely bring it up with Disera after the wedding tomorrow. I know she thinks of me as a father figure, but I will suggest she go with your suggestion when referring to us in front of Lionel in the future. I doubt she wants you to be uncomfortable, after all." Selvai had been about to step inside when Dravius raced up to them, and the magician stopped with one foot on the threshold to listen.
Feeling rather blindsided by the co-master's sudden and enthusiastic suggestion of a bachelor party, Selvai blinked at Dravius for a moment before responding. "Well. That does sound like fun, Dravius." He glanced over at Karene, then nodded in agreement. "I suppose I shall join you, since Karene does not seem to mind." Closing the van door behind him, he stepped off the stairs and joined the two of them. He turned to his fiancee with a smirk as Xavier joined them.
"I shall," he responded when she told him to enjoy his self. "I doubt you will need to worry about my being able to stand tomorrow, though. After waiting all this time for our wedding, I will be sure to not do anything that would halt the ceremony." The magician laughed quietly. "Not to mention the fact that Disera would likely come up with some sort of terrible punishment if I came to the wedding with a hangover." He accepted Karene's good-bye kiss and returned her wave as she walked away. "Well, are we ready to go, or should we find Erik? I doubt he would want to miss an excuse to have some fun."
-----
At the mention of his name, the shifter appeared from the shadows of the van, standing close to Xavier and Dravius. Although he had cleaned the blood from his face, his nose was still slightly swollen, and Erik held a damp rag to it as he spoke. "You know I wouldn't. So, a bachelor party? Where are we going? There's this really great karaoke bar in town we could visit, I really liked it." The redhead was practically bouncing on his feet by now, his injured nose forgotten. "It's western themed, you know. Cowboys everywhere." | |

| Xavier hadn't really had much time to get an answer from Dravius regarding the parents, before Karene left and he was momentarily distracted as he waved her away. Naturally, he decided to respond to Selvai's query with a shrug, starting a spoken answer when he was interrupted by the red-headed shifter in question.
"You're not serious. And nice of you to show yourself." Xavier snorted with amusement as Erik went off on one, deciding there and then on a particular place he wanted to visit. "Cowboys?... Somehow that's not surprising. It seems like the sort of thing that's right up your street." The male paused, looking curiously at the shifter through a few loose strands of black. "... Let me guess. You walked into a door?... That nose of yours looks painful." Of course, he hadn't meant that literally. Somehow, walking into a door just didn't seem like something Erik would do. In fact, there were many, many reasons that would make far more sense in the red-heads case.
Grinning, Xavier turned his attention back to Dravius and Selvai. "Come on. Let's get going. I don't think, all things considered, that it would be smart for us to stay out too late, so if we set off now we'll have some time to play with. Shouldn't take too long to find a place to enjoy ourselves, or, if we're brave enough, maybe we should let Erik lead the way to this karaoke bar of his. Hopefully he doesn't walk into a lamp post on the way down there. Although admittedly I'm not quite sure we should trust the red-heads judge of places." He laughed, setting off for town and pulling Dravius along with him.
"Well?" He asked in reference to his earlier unanswered question regarding his parents. "How did it go?" | |

| Dravius had been prepared to protest against the idea of him drinking himself silly, but that would be a lie, He was totally planning to do that. Get hammered, have a good time, and then laugh at the others when he woke up, unable to feel his hangover. The Co-Master jumped when his brother popped out of nowhere, like the older man was wont to do.
"Oh. It went...fine. They're over in the food van, with Maya and Angel." Dravius looked at the ground and sighed to himself. "Just...fine. Except that they're both the oddest people I've ever met, and I live here." Dravius sighed through his nose, then looked up and waved with his right hand as Karene walked away, calling, "Have a great night, Ree-Ree!"
At Selvai's quick question, Dravius smirked, his crooked grin making him look mischevious. "We should probably scoot before Erik sinks his grubby little claws into our outing-oh hey." The Co-Master's smile got even wider as Erik slithered up, looking like he just earned himself a large right hook.
"Well, whose husband gave you a nice knuckle sandwich for a snack?" He murmered, not nearly loud enough for Erik to hear. He still kept up his lopsided smile, and actually, karaoke sounded pretty fun, although Dravius had absolutely no singing ability. Enough alcohol would probably remedy that.
Dravius nodded at Xavier's insistence to get into town, and strode along beside him after only a few steps of tugging. "And hey, I said it went fine. They're odd, but it went fine." Dravius blinked and looked back and Erik, then smiled, "Perhaps we should try Erik's bar, first." He laughed, looking foreward to the undoubtably weird things Erik was likely to get into.
------------------------------
Holy shit. Alcohol. Was great stuff. Like...really great stuff. Alcohol and cowboys were both really nice. This bar was really nice. The barTENDER was really nice. Didn't even card Dravius, which was good, because he didn't really have a I.D. card, per say. This bar was great. Dravius had drank almost half a bottle of straight tequila, eaten so many limes on dares that he had lost count, and was in the process of cheering loudly at a group of really nice men dressed up as cowboys.
The bar the whole group was at was actually the second club, the first one much calmer, and much stricter about the alcohol comsumption of their clientle. So, everyone had let Erik, who incidentally was very good at holding his liquor, to a gay bar a few streets down. It was a REALLY nice bar. Except that, Dravius had given his shirt away to a poor man who had none, so it was a little chilly in the room. This bar smelled like citrus, leather, and spilled alcohol, but Dravius was so smashingly drunk that it didn't matter to him one lick.
"HEY! Heyheyheyhey Erik." Dravius turned in his seat to poke Erik in the shoulder. "Af-after the show, we should totally go ask the cowboys to hang out with us. They're pretty hot. Like...REALLY hot." Dravius laughed to himself, then pointed at one of the scantily clad cowboys with dark, curly hair, a lock of it curling out of his western hat over his forehead. He'd also been staring at the Co-Master nearly all night. Dravius could also tell that all five of the men were also very, very drunk. | |

| Erik, who by now had consumed his own share of alcohol, although he was fairing much better than Dravius, turned and looked at the other man when he poked him and pointed at the cowboys. "Good idea! They're really nice guys, ya know. One of them let me wear his hat the other night." He took a swig of his drink before continuing. "I know right! 'Swhy I shuggested coming here!" He half-shouted into Dravius' ear. The red head wobbled on his barstool, and he slung an arm around the co-master's shoulders and leaned into him to keep his balance. Erik laid his head on Dravius' bare shoulder and looked at the shirtless cowboys. "I shoulda worn my chaps," he said mournfully.
The shifter gestured at the group with the hand holding his apple flavored martini, spilling most of the drink over his hand, although he didn't notice. "I bet they would have let me on stage with them if I had. Didja know I sang karaoke here? Steve said I was great. He's the one that let me wear his hat," Erik drunkenly whispered into the co-master's ear. He stared at the cowboy Dravius had singled out, squinting very hard at the curly haired man. "I think he likes you," the red head declared. "You're so lucky. Lots of people like you. Oh, oh! Do you think we should invite the cowboys to the wedding? I bet they'd be alot of fun."
Meanwhile, Selvai, who had been sitting on the other side of Erik and listening to the conversation between the two, decided it was time he interrupted them. "Dravius, I think you've had a bit too much to drink." The magician himself had switched from alcohol to water earlier, and was much more clear headed than either of them. Pulling Erik off of the half-dressed Dravius, he leaned the shifter against the bar and took the now empty glass out of his hand. "Maybe we should get you out of here. Right, Xavier?" He looked over at Dravius' brother for support.
"What no, we haven't even sang yet!" Erik whined. "And Dravius wants to hang out with the cowboys. And I want to dance!" Hopping off his barstool, the red head ran off into the crowd gathered on the dance floor, leaving Selvai to shout after him. "Erik come back here right now- AND STOP TAKING OFF YOUR CLOTHES, WE ARE IN PUBLIC." | |

| Kylie had strode through the circus, standing striaght and tall at her enormous height, walking with great purpose, and with her icy expression, she looked like she was trying to pick out who she was going to kill next. A huge contrast was her husband, who was looking a bit dreamy, walking with long, relaxed strides. The walk to the van was short, and as the group entered, it struck Kylie that the inside of the vehicle seemed much larger than the outside, with a huge amount of food contained inside.
Kylie looked down at the young girl, who had her face pressed into her abdomen, and a small smile twitched her mouth up. "I feel like I'm stealing your daughter, dear." Dravius' mother settled herself into a chair next to Maya, sitting on the front three inches of chair. The older woman's posture was impeccable, her back ramrod straight. She let Angel remain on her lap, at least for the time being.
Liam, meanwhile, had been scurrying around the food table, gathering assorted fruit and few sandwiches. His movements were almost jerky and frentic, and he scooted back to the table with three plates, one filled entirely with ripe fruit, all the way from strawberries to a few slices of peeled orange.
The college professer had dragged his briefcase with him, and then dragged out a book and buried his nose in it. Kylie sighed, and tapped him on the shoulder. Without looking up, Liam slid another book across the table, and the older woman retrieved it, nibbling on half a sandwich. Opening up the book, Dravius' mother began reading, looking content as her eyes scanned the pages.
--------------------------------
Dravius had made a small pouty face when Erik leaned his head oto his shoulder, and reached over and patted the red-haired male on the head drunkenly, and said, "I bet it would have looked SUPER." The Co-Master nodded sagely at Erik's tales, then shrugged his shoulder and slurred, "People like me because I'm hhhhhot. With a capital "Hhhh"." He laughed to himself and raised his eyebrows. "That's a super-duper idea. They seem like REALLY nice people. Except....we should probably tell them to wear shirts. 'N stuff."
Dravius got off his chair and turned around when Selvai spoke to him, frowning deeply. "God, Selvai, you're such a BUZZKILL. Here I am, having like...so much FUN, and you're over there slurping a goddamn mineral water like you're at a high tea and it's ten in the morning." He coughed quietly, then whirled around to Erik. "'ZACTLY. I wanna hang out with the cowboys. I feel like they will taste of cupcake and fresh fruit."
Dravius whooped loudly when Erik promptly began what looked like offering himself to the lead cowboy, and it struck him as quite funny. "OH MY GOD SELVAI SHUT UP." Dravius sat back down and gestured to their surroundings. "Erik is really not very unusal here, god. I mean, I was just about to suggest trying the strip karaoke, you DEBBIE DOWNER." Dravius then groaned and gestured for another drink, which went by the name of an Irish Carbomb. | |

| "Okay. Good. I think." Xavier responded, raising an eyebrow at his brother's response to the question regarding his parents. He then snorted quietly and shook his head. "I can't believe you left them alone with your girlfriend and daughter. Aren't YOU supposed to be the one getting to know them?" He asked, lifting an arm and leaning his elbow on Dravius' shoulder.
The rest of the journey passed without much interest, seeing as most of them were too intent on following Erik in the direction of his choice. Xavier couldn't help but feel SLIGHTLY apprehensive about wherever it was the shifter was leading them; And that usually meant something, seeing as he himself had been around a bit and had quite a few encounters with the more... Rowdy sort of places.
They had stopped off initially in a calm, pleasant sort of place, before proceeding to the one Erik had wanted to visit, and quite frankly, the older Wolfe brother hadn't really thought it was all that bad. He'd been to gay bars before. Not out of any real personal need, he knew downright he wasn't interested in the same sex. It was more curiousity. Besides. Those places were usually rather entertaining.
As the night wore on, Dravius, who Xavier had assumed hadn't drunk this much in his life, was practically drowning himself in as many different cocktails as he could manage. As was Erik. Selvai had taken the more sensible route, and had stopped drinking early. Xavier, who had done this many, many times before, was still drinking, but at a rate that allowed him to at least walk straight. He was currently sat at a crowded table playing card games, which was rather noisy all things considered, and glanced over to where his brother and Erik were sat. Okay. He expected this behaviour from Erik. Dravius not so much.
He couldn't help but laugh. Poor kid hadn't known what was coming to him. He was sozzled. Although, admittedly, he wasn't quite sure letting Dravius go and talk to those cowboys up there was a very good idea. Sure. He was all up for fun and games, but he wasn't quite sure about letting his now completely drunk younger brother up there with a set of half-naked guys he referred to as "Hot". He did, afterall, have a girlfriend. Hell. It was one better. He had a FAMILY. And right now he didn't seem to be keeping that in his head.
Apologising to his new card-buddies, Xavier pushed himself to his feet and padded to the bar, where the others had all situated themselves. He had wanted to remain playing cards and watch from the sidelines for a bit, but Selvai's question had made him make up his mind.
"Actually. I agree. You're drinking more than I did on my first time in a VERY short space of time. Its not always a good thing, even if you'd pass the pain of a hangover the next morning. You tend to do things you'll regret." He said, seating himself on a free stool. "I think... Leaving would probably be wise," Glancing at the clock, Xavier shrugged. "Or we could stay another hour. But that's all." Selvai does have a wedding to get to tomorrow."
Pausing, the dark haired male watched Erik flee for the dancefloor, snorting in laughter as Selvai yelled at him to get his act together. Honestly. Erik was right at home here. Xavier looked at Selvai. "Let's stay another hour and give these two the chance to do what they want. Singing, or whatever But-" He said, glancing in the general direction of Dravius and Erik. Dravius particularly. "We'll keep an eye on them." Leaning back slightly in his stool, the older brother called over the bartender and ordered another drink. Sure, he was feeling a little fresh. But right now, his head was probably a thousand times clearer than Dravius'.
~~~
Maya had been sat, staring idly at the table in front of her when a movement forced her to pull her gaze away. Kylie had seated herself right next to the blonde, not that Maya minded, but it was still somewhat intimidating. The sheer height of the woman probably wasn't helping, despite the face she knew Dravius, who was actually taller. "It's... All right. She deserves to know her other grandparents. And you have a right to get to know her."
The blonde lifted a finger, and using it to stroke her daughters cheek. The little dark haired baby had still been smushing her face all over that purple-ness, up until the point her new-found grandad had brought over plates of food. Mmm. Food. She was hungry. Wiggling around, Angel started making little discontented noises, ones that more often than not escalated into tears, as she tried in vain to reach a little hand over to the huge pile of fruit on the table.
Maya had thanked Dravius' father for bringing them over, before handing a strawberry to Angel, who immediately stuffed as much into her mouth as possible. Smiling slightly, the little girl's mother looked back over at Liam. Who was now reading a book. For some reason, she had expected a lot more questions. Even just one. But maybe that was just the way Maya's mother was. God only knows she'd asked enough questions.
Picking out an unpeeled, unsliced orange, the butterfly began to methodically use her fingers to remove the skin, stopping only to watch a book slide across the table. Now Kylie was reading. Which was all well and good, she supposed. But Maya couldn't help feeling that Dravius should really be here, getting to know his parents. Sighing mentally, the blonde had to interrupt her peeling again to hold onto Angel's arm, who, after seeing the book grandma was reading, had wanted to touch the words on the page. Unfortunately, her hands were currently covered in strawberry juice, fortunately, Maya knew her daughter well enough to see it coming in time to stop her.
"I can... Take her off your hands, Mrs. Wolfe. If you'd find it easier... Angel can be a little bit of a trouble maker, and really rather messy." She said, smiling slightly at the older woman as she kept a hold on Angel's little hand.
~~~
It had been a long journey. So much so Lucia had almost thought she wouldn't quite make the wedding. Still, she was here, despite it being very, very late indeed. She had spent the last few minutes walking through town, heading for where Karene had told her the Circus was staying, only to be distracted by bars and clubs on her way up there. She wasn't exactly interested in drinking, it was more the people that caught her eye. One in particular as she passed a bar that had it's doors wide open.
Slipping straight through them, she made her way towards the back of the male whose hair was somewhat distinguishable. "Selvai?" She asked, coming to a stop next to the magician and looking around the front of him to others staying there. "I thought I recognised you... Hey Xavier, Dravius." She smiled. "Let me guess. Stag do, right?
Lucia, like Maya, had change vey little in the last five years. Her hair was still the same shade of gold, tied back into a loose, curled ponytail. And she hadn't seemed to gain any lines on her face nor any real change to any part of her body. She was currently dressed in a white, shin-length skirt, a simple top and a thigh length coat over it.
Xavier had been somewhat busy looking into his drink, and it took a moment for him to register that someone new had joined the conversation. He glanced over, then nearly fell of his stool. "Goodness me, Lucia. What are you doing here?" He asked with ecident surprise.
"I thought I recognised you guys- So I came to say hello. Don't worry, I won't stay." She paused, then tried not to laugh. "I see Erik's enjoying himself."
"A little too much." Xavier snorted, glancing over his shoulder at the dancing shifter. He turned his gaze back to Lucia with a grin. "We're not going to be here too much longer. Someone has to get up tomorrow." He gestured towards Selvai, earning the magician a smile from Maya's mother.
"Im looking forward to it." She said, glancing around the bar, still looking amused. "I haven't been to a wedding for a very long time... Let alone a Circus wedding. I also can't wait to see my little Angel." She murmered wistfully, looking back at the men sat at the bar. She had to raise an eyebrow at Dravius, who seemed most unlike himself at the moment and... Somewhat amusing. "Has he been drinking?" She asked, the amusement showing on her face.
"You can tell." Xavier snorted. "He's about as subtle as a brick wall. We're starting to think he may well have had too much." Snorting again, the dark haired male downed the rest of his drink and glanced at his brother. "We might end up dragging him out of here in chains, right, Selvai?" He grinned.

| Having left when the small group dispersed, Nylat was making her way to her van when her stomach growled louder than she had in a long while. So she angled her course instead for the food van, which wasn't too far from her van--not too far from any of the residents' vans. Or at least, it never seemed so. As she stepped inside, she noticed Maya, as well as two other people she didn't know. She padded over to the counter, getting herself a raw steak on a plate, so as to not seem a complete beast in front of the visitors. First impressions were everything. She carefully held the edge of the plate in her jaws as she padded over to Maya's table. She sat her food down on the table, then pulled herself up into the chair on the other side of Maya--with a little more effort than was normal. Sitting herself down, she gave her friend a skeptical look. "You, miss, I have been looking for all day. Well, was. But then Raphael told me you had visitors, so I decided to give you a break." She flicked an ear at the two strangers. "They must be Dravius's parents, then, no?" She hooked a claw in her steak, taking a small bite as she waited.

| "You are both. Huge drags. Like...if you took RuPaul and combined him with DeVine, that's how much of a drag you guys are." Dravius seemed like the more he drank, the more long-winded and nonsensical his sentences got. "Yes. More hours. Good idea." Dravius nodded, and took a long drink of his carbomb.
Dravius had gone back to whooping at the cowboys, and laughing uproarously at Erik. Lucia's appearance didn't register with the inebriated Co-Master until she had been there for a minute or so. "LUCIA!" He nearly screamed, and strode over, giving Maya's mother a boozy-smelling hug, then turned to his own brother. "That was a TERRIBLE analogy. Brick walls are not NEARLY as subtle as I am." He sniffed, finished his drink, and then took Selvai's water.
Taking a sip, Dravius leaned against the bar, his hair fallen into his face. Without his shirt, the ridiculous amount of scars he had were on display. Some of the scars he had were oddly tall, since as soon as the skin healed over, Dravius generally busted it open again. "Guys. I'm bored. I wanna sing karaoke with Xavvy."
The Co-Master pasted a pout onto his drunken face, weaving slightly. "You should come n' sing. We can get other people and all be the Spice Girls. Or the Sugar Babes. They're like the same thing, right?" Dravius then grinned and exclaimed, "LUCIA. You should go meet a cowboy. They're not wearing shirts." His last sentence was whispered, as if it was some sort of controversial information, and not five men dancing on a stage. | |

| Selvai pinched the bridge of his nose as Dravius went off on his tirade, and reminded himself that the co-master had had quite a bit to drink and as such was not to be held accountable for his words. Or actions. No matter how insanely horrible they sounded. "Strip karaoke? Honestly, Dravius," he muttered, choosing to ignore the comment about how the cowboys would taste. He hadn't had quite enough alcohol to deal with that comment.
Shaking his head as Dravius ordered yet another drink, the magician looked over at Xavier as he joined them at the bar. "To be honest, I am a bit afraid of what these two will get up to in another hour. But, if you want to watch them make fools of themselves, who am I to ruin your fun." He looked out at the dance floor, where Erik had stripped off his shirt and was now doing a very raunchy sort of bump and grind dance with one of the other men on the dance floor. "Also, I am not helping carry either of them back home. Especially not Erik."
He was pleasently surprised by the appearence of Lucia in the bar, and stood up to greet her as she spoke to him. "Lucia! It has been far too long. How are you?" Selvai nodded at her question. "Yes, Dravius decided at the last moment that I needed a bachelor party. So, here we are. Although this bar was Erik's choice," he explained.
"He had too much several drinks ago," Selvai commented with a small laugh. He turned back to Xavier, raising an eyebrow at his suggestion of dragging Dravius away in chains. "I can summon the chains with my magic, but you are dragging him on your own, you know. Since he is your brother." He shot an annoyed look at Dravius when the co-master grabbed his glass of water from the bar and began to drink it.
Sitting back on his barstool, Selvai looked over at Xavier with amusement. "Your little brother wants to sing karaoke with you, Xavier. I think you should do it. I'll bet that two of you have great singing voices," he said with a smirk. "May I suggest you two sing something from Cher? Her songs would really suit you t- Oh for the love of god what is Erik doing now?"
He glared across the club at the shifter, who had managed to lose his pants as well as his shirt, and was now clinging to the neck of one of the cowboys from the stage, this one having shoulder length blonde hair with highlights streaked through it. Selvai turned to Xavier with an exasperated look on his face. "You can deal with him. I wash my hands of that idiot lech." | |

| "Deary me. He does seem a little bit out of it, doesn't he?" Lucai said, trying her best not to laugh. Poor Dravius. It was probably lucky he had his ability, all things considered. Otherwise there'd probably be very little chance of him being able to stand up straight tomorrow. Although, she couldn't help but think that his ability wouldn't prevent him from feeling sick at all. Afterall, sickness and pain weren't exactly the same sort of thing.
At the somewhat sudden exclamation of her name, Lucia jumped slightly as the Co-Master in question ambled over, and looked slightly alarmed as he gave her a hug. She shook her head, her expression amused, as he went on to engage in conversation with his older brother. Xavier of which, responded to Dravius words with a grin. "That was a delibrately worded sentence, my dear sibling." He said, patting the younger male heavily on the shoulder, snorting quietly as Selvai's glass of water was suddenly stolen. "As of here and now, subtle is not a thing you probably understand." Still grinning, the dark haired man finished off his drink, then leaned back slightly in his stool and glanced over to dancefloor.
"Aha. Aha. No thanks. You are more than welcome to go sing, though." Xavier snorted at Dravius' idea, turning his gaze back to his brother, before looking around him at Selvai. "Don't get your hopes up, Mr. Mayoso." He laughed. "If I start singing I will live to regret it. Unlike SOME people in this place I havent quite had enough to drink that it will wipe the memory out of my head. It's probably best I play it safe." Pausing, he had been about to add something to his sentence when Selvai's exclamation caused him to look over his shoulder at Erik.
"... He certainly knows how to make an impression, doesnt he. Despite actually being in a bar like this, he's the only one in here with his pants down. Can't say I'm surprised." Xavier said, snorting with laughter.
Lucia had been busy looking around the place; Although she hadn't missed anything that had been spoken. Honestly. These men. She had to stifle another laugh, raising an eyebrow as Dravius decided to address her again. This time she was unable to keep herself from laughing at him. "Oh, please. I think I can live without meeting a shirtless cowboy, but thanks for the offer. I should really be getting back up to the Circus." Of course, when Erik was mentioned, she, like the others, had glanced over. Oh god. What was he doing.
"You know. I think that's my sign to leave." She laughed as Selvai spoke to Xavier.
"Aha. I think it's about time we all got out of here. And no thanks, Selvai. I decided about five seconds ago that I'm not going to touch him, or go anywhere near him. You should use a spell, or something." He paused, then stood himself up, looking at Lucia. "I think... We should probably head back with you. Right, lover boy?" Xavier snorted at his younger brother, before wrapping an arm around Dravius' neck firmly and speaking then to Selvai. "You should hurry up and get Erik... Preferably before he loses any other item of clothing." He laughed, pulling Dravius out of the bar, Lucia following with an amused smile.

(( Im not gonna bother waiting for Dravvy to post for his parents. O_O I can wing it. ^o^))
Seeing as both of Dravius' parents seemed quite content to simply sit and read, Maya had politely taken Angel out of Kylie's possession to allow the older woman to read without needing to worry about the bundle sat on her lap. Besides, Angel had gone back to trying to get at the food again, and the blonde decided it'd just be easier to keep her daughter with her for now.
At Nylat's appearance, Maya gave the hybrid a smile, before raising an eyebrow slightly at her apparent difficulty pulling herself up on the chair. Well. It wasn't really a difficulty, but Nylat was usually much more nimble with situating herself in places like this. "Are you all right?" Maya asked, glancing at Angel, who was currently staring at Nylat and gurgling.
She spent a minute looking at the hybrid, then looked back at Dravius' parents as Ny mentioned them ."Uhm. Yeah... This is Liam and Kylie Wolfe." She said with a slight smile, looking at the two, who were still somewhat immersed in their books. It was about this point that Angel started making little discontented noises again, only this time they dissolved into tears in a very short space of time. The poor girl was probably tired, it was certainly late enough.
Pushing her chair back, the butterfly stood herself up and looked at Dravius parents, holding Angel close to her shoulder. "I should get this one to bed." She said, glancing at her daughter before smiling at the two of them. "It was nice meeting both of you. I guess... I'll see you both tomorrow." Still smiling, she turned her gaze to Nylat. "Since you were looking for me, you might as well walk with me to the van." She suggested, before heading out of the food van door, her daughter sobbing into her shoulder.
It didn't take long at all for Maya to reach the van, and an even shorter time to get Angel to sleep, who had pretty much passed out as soon as she had been placed in her cot. Pulling across the colourful screen, Maya then stepped back outside and closed the door behind her. "So what exactly did you want me for, Ny?" She asked, raising her eyebrows slightly as she looked at the hybrid, face amused. "Must be something somewhat important for you to have been looking for me all day." She laughed.

Sheesh. It had got pretty dark already. No wait. Scratch that. It would have gotten dark quite a while ago, but being stuck in that gay bar had obviously had Xavier's attention elsewhere and as such he hadn't really noticed the change from day to night. He walked pretty much the entire way back to the Circus with his arm around his brothers neck, only letting go once they had reached the border. "Home sweet home." He said wistfully. "Or, for you, anyway. I suppose in my case it's more like a travelling hotel." Grinning at Dravius, Xavier then looked over his shoulder, before heading into the Circus grounds, pulling Dravius with him another few feet.
Lucia smiled, then glanced at the two brothers. "I should probably go find Raphael... I think Karene said he was the one sorting out guest vans. If I wasn't so tired I'd go find my daughter. But I suppose I'll see her tomorrow, too."
"Most likely. He's probably in his own van at the moment. I'm not sure about Maya, though. Probably still meeting the parents."
Lucia paused. "Your parents?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. Like most everyone else, Maya's mother knew very little of Dravius' parents, so the news was quite a shock. Although, probably not as much for her as those who knew the Co-Master better. Still, it was a surprise. "I didn't know you knew your parents." She said, looking confusedly at Dravius.
"He didn't. Not until today, anyway." Xavier said, patting Dravius on the head. "It's been a rather weird sort of day."
Lucia looked at Dravius and Xavier for a minute, then smiled. "It might be nice to meet them myself at some point. Everything considered." She pondered, before laughing quietly under her breath. "All right. It was lovely seeing you, Dravius. You too, Xavier. I suppose I'll speak to you a little more tomorrow." She smiled, patting her daughter's boyfriend on the arm before padding off to find the Ring-Master's van. "Goodnight, you two." She said over her shoulder.
